Contribute to PolioPlus to help stop polio through the $200 Million Challenge
Your contribution through Rotary will help in Rotary’s effort to rid the world from Polio.
Rotary’s US $200 Million Challenge, a three-year fundraising commitment, is the Rotary Foundation’s response to the $350 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to help eradicate polio. Every dollar given to PolioPlus during the next three years will be counted toward the $200 million match bringing the total funding to $550 million.
After 20 years of hard work, Rotary and its partners are on the brink of eradicating this tenacious disease, but a strong push is needed now to root it out once and for all. This is a window of opportunity of historic proportions.
Your contribution will help Rotary match the challenge grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The resulting funds will directly support immunization campaigns in developing countries, where polio continues to infect and paralyze children, robbing them of their futures and compounding the hardships faced by their families.
As long as polio threatens even one child anywhere in the world, children everywhere remain at risk. The stakes are that high.
